I like the background of the blog because it is very indicative of you, but it makes it really hard to read the text. Maybe putting a haze over the background, it would make it easier to read. I think that it's okay for you to just show the images w/o descriptions, but if you wanted descriptions, you should make it possible for you to click on the photo and have it take you to more info instead of having to search for it because people won't do that.
